Packages - How to setup and manage a package of care
To support the ability to better manage funders we have released a new feature Packages, which can be setup by a Superuser in the Control Panel to be utilised by the team.
Packages allows you to define appointments or rules associated with a funder and designate limits against them. You can then assign clients to the package to help manage their utilisation.

Notes: Create a Package
Step 1
- Name (required), description (optional)
- Code (optional), type (required).
- Funders - must select at least one. System list is always available to select. Scroll down to view those assigned as funders in the Address Book.
- System List: Out of Pocket. Insurance. Medicare. Third Party. Other.
- Control - either Client or Funder
- Limits
- If control=client options are; None or Appointment #
- If control=funder options are; None or Total Services # or Client # or $ Spend
- Service access - can only be Any Order

Step 2
- Add services - can be appointments or activities.
- You can copy down to add the same appointment multiple times
- Limits are based on the page 1 selection.

Notes: Assign Package
Here you can add / remove packages. And pause here to hold making further bookings.
Create link to referral and episode are optional.
- If linked to episode the booking of services is limited to just that episode.
- Edit utilisation is key action in this view.
- Can check a service to take it off allocation
- Can uncheck to make that service bookable again
- The edit function is only available to SU and Admin roles.

Once the Packages are created, you can now include the template during a Care Pathway setup, by selecting the template.
